An Apology: Paul Diamond

In our article published on 27 January 2025, entitled “From Corporate Leader to Fraud Allegations, the Intriguing Saga of Paul Diamond”, we made a series of allegations that South African businessman Paul Diamond was guilty of fraud, “illicit gold trading”, “collusion with corrupt officials” and other criminal wrongdoing.
We accept that the allegations should not have been published. We mistakenly accepted a third-party article for publication when we should not have done and fully recognise that there is no evidence to support any of the serious claims made against Mr Diamond. Mr Diamond has never been interviewed, charged or convicted of any such offences.
We apologise unreservedly to Mr Diamond for the harm and upset our article has caused him.
