Adobe’s integration of Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat into ChatGPT marks a major shift in how creative work happens. More than 800 million weekly ChatGPT users can now edit images, create designs, and work with PDFs through simple conversational prompts, reflecting Adobe’s wider move toward agentic AI, cross-app assistants, and natural-language workflows. TechCrunch notes that users can perform common Adobe Photoshop Express edits, pull templates from Express, and modify or merge PDFs in Acrobat without leaving the chat, with the option to open full Adobe apps for deeper control.

This launch arrives as ChatGPT becomes a central hub for digital tasks. DesignRush recently highlighted that in-chat apps for Spotify, Zillow, Canva, Figma, and others signal a new era where brands meet users inside AI conversations rather than waiting for clicks or site visits. With ChatGPT now handling 2.5 billion prompts a day and ranking as the fifth most-visited website, AI is collapsing the buyer journey into a single moment of intent. Adobe’s move positions the company inside that moment, reducing workflow friction and strengthening its place in an increasingly conversational design ecosystem.

What Users Can Do

This allows users to edit images, work with PDFs, and create or animate designs through simple conversational prompts. According to TechCrunch , ChatGPT can now handle common Photoshop actions like adjusting exposure, brightness, and contrast, removing or blurring backgrounds, or applying effects with adjustable sliders. Adobe Express integrations let the chatbot pull templates, build themed creatives, and animate elements, while Acrobat tools enable PDF editing, file merging, and text or table extraction. TechCrunch notes that users can switch into full Adobe apps at any time if they want more precision or access to features not available in ChatGPT. The rollout is global across ChatGPT’s desktop, web, and iOS apps, with Android support currently limited to Adobe Express. TechCrunch also points out that Adobe has released several AI-powered tools this year, including new assistants for Photoshop and Express and a cross-app assistant called Project Moonlight. With OpenAI’s support for third-party apps since October, Adobe now competes directly with Canva, Figma, and other platforms vying to become the preferred creative tool inside ChatGPT.

Inside ChatGPT, users can enhance images with Photoshop, customize templates and designs in Adobe Express, and edit or organize PDFs in Acrobat. Tasks include adjusting image settings, applying effects, creating social content, extracting text, merging files, and redacting sensitive information. Users can rely on natural language alone or switch to familiar on-screen controls when needed. Using the tools is straightforward. Typing the name of an Adobe app followed by an instruction triggers the appropriate tool. ChatGPT then walks the user through the edit. Anyone who needs more precision can move directly from ChatGPT into native Adobe apps without losing progress. Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Acrobat for ChatGPT are free and available now on ChatGPT desktop, web, and iOS. Adobe Express is live on Android, with Photoshop and Acrobat support coming soon.

Strategic Impact

By bringing its flagship tools into ChatGPT, Adobe expands its reach to new audiences and meets users inside the platforms where work already happens. The integration lowers barriers to creation, reduces workflow friction, and positions Adobe’s ecosystem squarely within the conversational AI era.

DesignRush also recently highlighted that ChatGPT’s rollout of in-chat apps for Spotify, Zillow, Canva, Figma, Booking.com, and others marks a major shift in how users interact with brands. OpenAI’s new Apps SDK, launched in October 2025, allows developers to embed full app experiences directly inside ChatGPT, meaning brands can now show up within AI-driven conversations rather than relying on users to visit their websites.

ChatGPT now receives 2.5 billion daily prompts and is the fifth most-visited site globally, signaling a massive movement away from traditional search and click-based discovery. Digital experts note that AI can reduce web clicks by over 34%, collapsing the buyer journey from awareness to conversion into a single conversational interaction. For marketers, the implications are significant: visibility now depends on whether AI selects your brand in response to user intent. Conversational interfaces are becoming the next digital infrastructure layer, and brands that adapt now will define the future of marketing rather than struggle to catch up.
