An exciting new event took place last weekend in the Africa Israel Hotels. It was the first time the Wellness Festival in the Dead Sea happened and was hosted by Itzik and Amir Dayan, the owners, and their CEO Sharon Alon. Among the many guests was Abd El-Rahami Bayoud, the Moroccan Ambassador to Israel and his wife.
Dayan brothers and their team, led by Sharon Alon, CEO, manage several brand hotels, including Vert, Crown Plaza and Indigo. Itzik and Amir Dayan are well known for their high-end hotels forming the Africa Israel Hotel group. Hosting such a popular festival is both an honor and a substantial PR boost, especially when the attending guests are important and high profile.
A Feature-Packed Festival
The event featured over 50 workshops which were spread over three of the complexes. The event was moderated by Rita Goldstein, who, alongside many other wellness industry players, including Ira Dolphin, health and fitness guru and Shai Avivi, the actor, hosted a range of sessions offering something for everyone, including relationship workshops and acting classes. Those attending could also work with the legend that is Sharon Yanovsky, a journalist and fitness trainer who brings over 18 years of knowledge and experience to her workshop Pilates Counselling. This offers insights and lessons in detoxification and natural nutrition. During the VERT Wellness Festival, the hotel also opened its spa complex, showcasing its many pampering treatments for guests to enjoy.
Anyone attending the festival was also able to take advantage of the diverse food fair, which featured carefully curated menus crafted by culinary consultants working with health experts to bring whole body nourishment between the balancing body and mind treatments offered at the wellness workshops. The event also provided musical entertainment from some well-known artists, including Mosh Ben Ari, Tipex Band, ANNA RF, and Trumelpadov.
A Resounding Success
The Africa Israel Hotels Group is proud to play host to the event and is delighted that the event was a roaring success paving the way for future events. The vice president of marketing, Assaf Ben Dov, summed up the experience when he said, “It is a great privilege for us to be leaders in the hospitality industry in the wellness experience that is the basis of the Vert brand. The festival tradition that we launched for the first time was a great success, and we are happy that the large crowd that came enjoyed all the activities and performances. See you next year.’
The Symbol in the Name
Speaking about the event and the history of the hotel group Alon said: “The Vert hotel chain was established about two years ago as a new brand from Africa Israel Hotels. Vert Wellness Festival is based on a combination of fitness, nutrition, and some treats for the soul. We hope to make the event a tradition in the coming years and are happy about the impressive response and are now looking forward to the projects that will be revealed during the coming months that combine the worlds of wellness and recreation. The meaning of the word VERT is green in French, a name chosen out of an aspiration to create a brand that seeks sustainability, a subject that is very close and dear to my heart. And the aspect that is important to talk about, especially in this place which is one of the most special locations in the world, the spectacular Dead Sea.”
