Rhinoplasty surgeon informs public about the process in new podcast
Dr. Rod J. Rohrich is America’s top rhinoplasty surgeon. He’s taking his experience and wealth of knowledge to the airwaves in his new podcast, ‘Rohrich Knose.’ Unlike other podcasters in his field, he is willing to be open and speak about the real issues affecting Americans.
“Some of it may be political, so don’t be bothered if it’s a political thing. I’m just gonna be me,” said Dr. Rohrich in his first podcast. “We’re not gonna have cancel culture. We’re not gonna cancel anybody. We’re gonna talk about what it’s like to be an American, a Texan, and what it’s like to live in 2021, pre, intra-, and post-Covid.”
Soo many people have podcasts these days, but what makes Rod Rohrich M.D. stand out is his previous accomplishments. He was recognized by Newsweek as one of the top-ranked plastic surgeons in the United States for both rhinoplasty surgery and facelift surgery. The Annals of Plastic Surgery recognized him as one of the “10 most influential surgeons of the current era”. He is the Editor and chief of the Journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons…
The daily podcast gives listeners exclusive insight into the mind of an accomplished plastic surgeon.
As Americans grapple with these trying and often tumultuous times, Dallas Surgeon Dr. Rohrich hopes to voice a reason for the public by providing them with honest and actionable expert advice.
“There are certain truisms like, stay healthy, get vaccinated, I don’t think it’s a political thing,” he said. “We’ve all been vaccinated from childhood upward. We get the flu vaccine every year; I think we just need to de-politicize it. And the science to date is pretty darn good on it.”
But, the Rohrich Knose podcast isn’t all medicine. The doctor also provides advice for people on to chase their dreams.
“You gotta write stuff down,” he explained. “Every day, I write down the three things I have to do. After that, it’s a cakewalk. Write it down, do it, go on to your next day. Will you always succeed? Absolutely not. But you’re going to succeed day in and day out better than anybody else, you know, because if you have a goal and a focus, nobody can stop you. You are it.”
“Rohrich Knose” allows him to impart his wisdom and expertise to the general public. In Episode 2 of the podcast, he educates viewers about the importance of taking charge of your health information and not just relying on Google to direct you to doctors in your area.
“We’ve lost our primary care doctor. In the past, you would go visit your primary care doctor,” explained Rohrich. “But, today, it’s Dr. Google — available 24/7, wrong most of the time, not even a doctor.”
When it comes to taking charge of your health information, Rohrich says it starts with fact-checking everything and asking “qualified physicians” on medical topics instead of relying on possible fake information.
“On the radio, on podcasts, on TV, even your surgeon,” he explained. “Everybody’s famous now on Instagram, Google. But, very few people are experts and good at what they do. So how do we sort this all out? That’s what I’m going to help you do.”
Despite his accomplishments and education, Rohrich presents his information in a clear, easy-to-understand, simple, and relatable way. He emphasizes the importance of “showing up” and no talent is as strong as a great work ethic.
“You have to have an incredible work ethic, and if you have that, that’s the best gift that I can give my kids, that you can give whoever you’re in contact with.”
Dr. Rohrich is not a newcomer when it comes to media. He’s already the face and voice of Plastic Surgery Hot Topics — a 215-video series that’s been running for seven years. In that series, he recaps and relays breaking research from studies published in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Rohrich has led an incredibly successful and distinguished career. He hopes his Podcast will inspire others to approach life with the gravitas that catapulted him to success.
“I want you to believe in yourself,” he said in one of his podcasts. “Once you believe in yourself, it will cascade, and people will believe in you. That’s what’s life’s all about, and that’s why I’m successful in plastic surgery, medicine, and all the things I try to do. So, I’m going to help you believe in yourself.”
