Airbnb overthrows Google for Glassdoor Employees’ Choice, as Tech Companies’ Ratings Climb

In the newly released list from Glassdoor of top companies in North America and some of Europe, San Francisco’s Airbnb ousted Google with a 4.6-star employee rating out of five, while Bain & Co. remains ranked at second best this year with a 4.6 rating. Other tech companies on the list were Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, Apple, and Twitter.

Top ranking companies in 2015 who fell in the ranks this year include Nestlé Purina Petcare (#9, down from 2^nd in 2015), F5 Networks (#33, formerly 4^th), BCG (#7, formerly 4^th), In-N-Out (#13, 4.2- formerly 8^th), Chevron (#39, formerly 6^th), Costco Wholesale (#40, formerly 29^th), BCG (#7, formerly at 4^th in 2015), Google (#8, down 7 spots from last year), H E B (#17, formerly 7^th), Adobe (#19, formerly 18^th), Apple (#25, formerly 22^nd), and Genentech (#34, formerly 17^th).

New additions to the top Glassdoor list include Guidewire (#3, 4.5 rating), Hubstop (#4, 4.4 rating), Facebook (#5, 4.4 rating formerly in 13^th), LinkedIn (#6, 4.4 rating, formerly 23^rd), Zillow (#10, 4.3 rating, formerly 33^rd), Eastman Chemical (#11, 4.3 rating, formerly 30^th), World Wide technology (#12, 4.3), MINDBODY (#14, 4.2, formerly 34^th), Power Home Remodeling Group (#15, 4.1 rating), Expedia (#16), Riot Games (#18), Memorial Sloan Kettering (#20, formerly 41^st), Delta Air Lines (#21), Twitter (#26), Salesforce (#32), and Turner Construction (#36, formerly 38^th).
