Award recognizes sustained excellence in guest experience across sales and aftersales service in Saudi Arabia

Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, the authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia since 1955, has won its 15th consecutive Gold Award in the 2025 Toyota Distributor Award Program. Toyota Motor Corporation presents the Gold Award to distributors that sustain strong customer experience across sales and aftersales service over time.

The recognition covers performance across sales, service, parts, and the wider dealer network, reflecting a standard of consistency the company has maintained for a decade and a half.

Takayuki Kanno, general manager of the India and Middle East Division at Toyota Motor Corporation, credited the achievement to the people carrying it out day to day. “This achievement reflects the sustained efforts of its associates across sales, service, parts, and their wider dealer network, in consistently delivering a caring experience for guests creating happiness for all,” he said. “We look forward to continuing our journey together as one team.”

Hassan Jameel, vice chairman of Abdul Latif Jameel, Saudi Arabia, echoed that focus on the teams behind the milestone. “It reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and a guest-first philosophy, along with the collective dedication of our teams across Saudi Arabia who have consistently delivered excellence year after year,” he said. “This milestone belongs to our Associates, whose efforts, together with the trust of our partners and guests, continue to drive our success and support the evolving mobility ambitions of our country.”

A Collaboration Spanning Seven Decades

The relationship behind the award goes back further than the streak itself. Abdul Latif Jameel Motors began distributing Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia in 1955, when the brand was still emerging in the Kingdom. That collaboration marked its 70th anniversary in 2025, with Hassan Jameel and Toyota president and CEO Koji Sato celebrating the occasion in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Before taking on senior responsibilities at Abdul Latif Jameel, Hassan Jameel worked at Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan in the early 2000s, an experience the company has linked to Toyota’s 2004 kaizen team. He has since carried Toyota management principles, including kaizen, or continuous improvement, into the company’s Saudi operations.

That approach has produced recognition beyond this year’s award, including a 2021 Gold Award for aftersales service after more than 10 consecutive years of wins, a Decade of Outstanding Customer Delight Award, and a Gold Award for sales and marketing excellence.
