While some of the U.S. is still experiencing
terrific amounts of snowfall, spring has sprung
here on the West Coast and in many other
places unseasonably early. Punxsutawney Phil
did not see his shadow either, so the time of
rebirth and growth is officially here.
For business, and for this issue of BOSS, it’s
more about rebranding than rebirth. And
who better to talk about rebranding than
Jon Taffer, hospitality’s expert on just about,
well, everything in the industry. You’ll know
him from his Spike TV show “Bar Rescue”,
in which he saves bars and clubs from the
edge of disaster, turning them into successful
businesses.
Taffer shared his background and what led
him into the industry in the first place, as
well as how he has recently developed an
educational system for bar and restaurant
owners called TVT.
And he’s not our only standout this month.
We also had the opportunity to talk to David
Glickman, Founder and CEO of Ultra Mobile,
the U.S.’s fastest growing company in 2015.
This isn’t the first time Glickman has taken a
company to the top of this list, and his advice
on how to manage millennials may make you
reconsider the generation’s work ethic.
