FleetPride makes sure its customers are ready for the road ahead.
Your car takes a lot of abuse. Even if you don’t get in an accident, weather, road conditions, and high mileage means that your car needs regular maintenance and sometimes replacement parts. But think about a heavy-duty truck like a semi, or the trailer that hauls products from coast to coast: the mileage these vehicles see almost guarantees that replacement parts will be needed.
When a fleet of heavy-duty vehicles needs new parts, many companies know FleetPride is the place to go. Headquartered in Las Colinas, Texas, FleetPride is one of the nation’s largest independent distributors of heavy-duty truck and trailer replacement parts.
Formed in 1999, the organization has grown rapidly in its short two-decade history. Today, with more than 260 branches across 46 states, FleetPride employs more than 3,000 employees and carries over 400 nationally recognized brands. FleetPride serves a diverse customer base across multiple industries, including freight and shipping, leasing services, agriculture, food and beverage, construction, and waste management.
The company’s mission is a simple one: to be the most reliable parts supplier in every market it serves. By providing outstanding service and value to its customers, FleetPride has been able to stay true to its mission and earn the loyalty of a large and continuously growing client base.
Advantages
FleetPride offers advantages to large fleets and small operators alike, and capabilities that no other distributor can match. Five distribution centers and three manufacturing plants allow the company to provide tailored products and services to the unique needs of regional customers. At the same time, FleetPride’s presence in nearly every state creates a network that can supply consistent, reliable service across the board.
Key to this is FleetPride’s supply chain expertise, which ensures that its customers get what they need, when and where they need it, and helps them keep their trucks where they belong—on the road.
Although the majority of FleetPride’s business is in distributing products from other manufacturers, the company also has an in-house manufacturing division. This hybrid strategy means that the company truly has just about any part or service your heavy-duty trucking fleet might need.
FleetPride Expansion
Early in 2018, FleetPride expanded its operations into Kansas. The acquisition of Truck Parts & Equipment, Inc.’s three locations in the state from TP&E Employee Stock Ownership Plan mean FleetPride is just a few states short of having locations across the entire United States. Previously, Truck Parts & Equipment Inc. was 100-percent employee owned.
“We are very excited about the acquisition of Truck Parts and Equipment. They have been a very successful independent distributor of heavy-duty parts for decades,” said FleetPride CEO Al Dragone in a press release. “The people of TP&E have experience and expertise second to none. We are lucky to have them as a part of FleetPride.”
Company officials shared that this acquisition will expand FleetPride’s national network, providing customers in Kansas easy access to FleetPride’s national parts inventory, heavy duty expertise, and world-class supply chain. Even better, regional customers will have access to a drive-in service shop and equipment upfitting at the Wichita location.
“We look forward to combining the many capabilities of Truck Parts & Equipment with FleetPride’s world-class supply chain and expanded product lines to even more effectively serve customers in the Kansas markets,” added Mike Harris, FleetPride Senior Vice President of Sales and Branch Operations.
FleetPride’s customer experience in Arizona is also experiencing an upgrade. The company has built a service shop at its Phoenix location to provide a full line of hydraulic services.
“We continue to invest in our mobile power capabilities,” said Mike Harris, FleetPride Senior Vice President of Sales and Branch Operations. “Our Phoenix branch already provides a wide range of shop services, including complete driveline repair, flywheels, and hydraulic hose fabrication, to name a few. With the shop expansion, we can offer customers in the Phoenix market a wide variety of hydraulic solutions.
Over 150 guests were on hand to celebrate the remodeled branch and new services in early November 2017.
“The grand opening highlighted our new hydraulic shop services for bench testing cylinders and pumps, building custom pumps, cylinder repairs, and a broad assortment of PTO kits and related parts,” added Harris. “We are very proud of our team in Phoenix, with three branches in the market, and customer turnout for the event was excellent.”
Ready for the Road Ahead
FleetPride believes that no other distributor can match its advantages. Only FleetPride offers customers national distribution with uniformity of pricing and inventory across the country, a consistent nationwide warranty policy, a single point of contact, centralized billing, and usage reports by location.
By preparing its customers to be ready for the road ahead, FleetPride has proven its dominance in this heavily-saturated market.
Formed in 1999, FleetPride is the largest distributor of truck and trailer parts in the independent heavy-duty aftermarket channel. FleetPride operates over 262 locations in 45 states and carries over 400 nationally-recognized brands. In addition, FleetPride offers in-house remanufactured products such as brake shoes and driveline components. Truck and trailer repair services are also offered at a number of locations under the FleetCare brand.
