Peloton Interactive, Inc. is entering what it calls a “new era of connected wellness” with Peloton IQ, an AI-powered coaching system, and the Cross Training Series, a redesigned lineup of five machines – the Bike, Bike+, Tread, Tread+, and Row+. Each features a swivel screen, faster processors, and improved connectivity. The premium “Plus” models add a movement-tracking camera, Sonos-tuned audio, an integrated fan, voice control, and upgraded seating.

New Chapter

Peloton’s latest launch marks a clear pivot in its brand story. CEO Peter Stern described it as “the start of a new chapter for Peloton,” emphasizing that the Cross Training Series “doubles the value of our hardware by combining world-class cardio and strength training in a single machine.”

He added that “with Peloton IQ, we’re introducing a new level of intelligent personalization to become the ultimate partner in our Members’ wellness journeys. This is more than an upgrade; it’s a relaunch.” The statement highlights Peloton’s broader strategy to move beyond its identity as a connected-bike company and reposition itself as a comprehensive wellness platform.

Data-Driven

By combining AI-driven personalization with upgraded hardware and comprehensive training options, Peloton is positioning itself to strengthen member engagement, reach new audiences, and increase the overall value of its ecosystem. This relaunch signals both a technological and strategic evolution, redefining Peloton as an intelligent fitness partner built to support holistic, long-term wellness.

Chief Product Officer Nick Caldwell said Peloton’s strength lies in “pairing intelligent software with premium hardware,” adding that Peloton IQ offers “a more advanced take on AI personal coaching.”

Peloton IQ brings this vision to life through adaptive, data-driven coaching that spans the entire product line, including older equipment through software updates. The system analyzes workout history and integrates data from Garmin, Fitbit, and Apple Health to deliver personalized plans and weekly performance insights. Members receive tailored class recommendations, while Plus users gain access to enhanced features such as real-time form correction and custom workout programming.

Partnerships and Acquisitions

Peloton is expanding into whole-person wellness through new partnerships and acquisitions. It’s teaming with the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) on injury prevention, Halle Berry’s Respin Health on a menopause wellness program, and has acquired Breathwrk, a breathwork app for All-Access and App+ members. Community remains core to the brand, with Official Peloton Teams – like Move for Life, Cross Training, and HYROX Training – and the new Club Peloton program, which rewards members for consistency, variety, and engagement.

Another interesting product that is worth looking at is Tonal strength training system designed by Whipsaw. It has high tech built in for tracking and monitoring and many other great features.
