Aireagóir’s cloud native, secure network ecosystem is built for control, security, and ease
Using multiple cloud solutions for different uses has been the way of the world for quite some time. Managed services providers (MSPs) are reaping the bounty of that approach as enterprises find it more and more challenging to handle multiple clouds and the complex security, control, and compliance needs that accompany every new bolt-on solution. As layers of solutions and quick fixes pile up, so does the security risk.
As MSPs and CIOs themselves, the founders of Las Vegas-based cloud computing firm Aireagóir recognized that the cloud platforms in the market were built on outdated technology held together by various vendor solutions needed to maintain network infrastructure, storage, and security.
They saw that the addition of necessary but costly disaster recovery (DR) solutions layered on even more complexity, which opened new opportunities for calamity. To make matters worse, finding the right talent to keep these systems running smoothly was an expensive and often futile undertaking.
Since there are no truly integrated fully secure networking solutions, that would limit exposure to intrusions and be easy to control existed, they built one. By offering a cloud native, cloud agnostic ecosystem from the kernel up and wrapping it in leading-edge services, Aireagóir is making enterprises ready for a rapidly approaching future where multi-cloud computing will be the norm.
Their core foundation, a virtual data center as a service (VDCaaS) is an all-in-one service for building a private cloud infrastructure, complete with storage, computerization, networking, virtualization, and management. Bunús — the Gaelic word for foundation — uses a host of built-in security features, such as two-factor authentication, password policies, storage encryption at rest, data-in-transit protection, and other hardening features. It is multi-cloud compatible, meaning data can be easily imported from an existing cloud infrastructure such as Azure, Google, or AWS.
The fully integrated VDCaaS bundles network software, security, next generation crypto-encrypted distributed-storage technology, and DR with full support, and blankets it in managed services. That core can be enhanced with a variety of offerings, including multi-cloud management, security packages, and SOC services. Built-in firewalls and virtualization are also part of the foundation, which is built on an API for easy customization.
Because the functions within Bunús’ core offering are native, they are covered in Aireagóir’s basic pricing. That includes DR and backup, which are typically expensive add-ons to other solutions. Because their basic managed services are part of the core offering, clients do not pay extra for them.
Everything in the platform is 256-bit encrypted, and all changes are tracked. Clients are notified of intrusions as they happen, and the encryption guarantees that unauthorized data downloads are rendered useless. Data is refreshed at the push of a button and malware, ransomware, and other threats are instantly eliminated.
“Clients don't have to worry about patching or security because those solutions are built into our cloud native platform,” said company CEO Grady Johnston. “Because our offering is simpler and easily integrated, clients are going to live in a whole different world that’s not as complex as what they currently have.”
Although Aireagóir manages and maintains the entire cloud offering on the platform and server, clients own their data and control how it is shared and used. Their security, privacy, and compliance controls are independently verified.
When it comes to communication between clouds — a tricky endeavor that can leave endpoints vulnerable to exploitation — the company’s Tèarainte offering creates a security layer between cloud platforms and endpoints that’s virtually impenetrable, with detection rates of 99.9% on third-party product penetration testing.
Clients are often surprised by the simplicity of Aireagóir’s approach because they are used to complicated solutions that are cobbled together. “We are at the next evolution of the cloud,” Johnston said. “It shouldn’t be fragmented. It needs to be integrated all together. Our solution was designed and built the way we would have liked infrastructures to be from the beginning.”
Partners in Protection
Aireagóir’s business model is based on establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with industry leading technology providers. “We understand how to partner — we’re 100% partner-focused,” Johnston said.
Because Aireagóir manages their own platform, compliance, and other clouds, they have the full mechanism to do security audits and deployments and leverage strategic partnerships with companies such as BluVector, Aviatrix, and Cloudflare. The company’s engineers and support technicians are specialists in each of their partners’ products. “If a client is in Cloudflare and they want to use our platform and have us connect to Cloudflare, we have the expertise to deploy that and manage it for them,” Johnston said.
Strategic partners such as BluVector’s cybersecurity solutions complement the Bunús offerings and ecosystems. Their Advanced Threat Detection supervised machine learning technology and Automated Threat Hunting gives real-time insights on cyber-attack campaigns as they happen.
Aireagóir has created the Bunús Partner Network to reach out to resellers and OEMs. “We're looking for partners that want to resell our offerings. They can sell the offering, our services, or they can partner with us and do migrations leveraging our platform, and could possibly do the Tier One support,” Johnston said.
When OEMs want to move their solutions to Bunús, the foundation’s built-in DR, encryption, and snapshot solution that captures and saves activity on the platform makes it easy for companies to develop on the platform with the confidence that their product is being secured.
“As our growing Secure Ecosystem expands, we have been building new AI based offerings on Bunús,” Johnston said.
Recently, the company launched Bunús.AI (AI as a Service) that provides the services to optimize client investments in scalable, accurate, and profitable AI, delivering decision-making power to drive vision for business growth. Bunús.AI Support includes training, a dedicated account manager, 24/7 support, accelerated issue resolution, and direct enhancement requests.
The company is in the process of launching AI solutions on top of the platform that will enable businesses to better predict their needs with targeted analytics, wrapped in services. “We’re tying in our partner data from BluVector, Cloud Flare, and Aviatrix as we expand security into other platforms,” Johnston said. “The cool thing is that core platform; we're locking the back doors, encrypting everything, and now we can launch into the next piece, which is leveraging that data with advanced analytics capability so businesses can meet their objectives for growth and success.”
At present, Aireagóir is making the rounds to secure Series A funding. “We’re talking to tech experts, and they’re saying, ‘Holy cow, Grady, you’re doing what everybody wants.’” With that kind of excitement and demonstrated expertise in solving the most challenging aspects of the cloud, bringing savvy financial partners into the mix should be a cinch for this ambitious and pioneering firm.
We help you maximize the power of the cloud by driving agility and innovation in a hybrid-cloud model while maintaining the highest possible security and compliance standards.
We aim to meet our clients wherever they are in their technology and cloud journey, supporting them in achieving their business goals, and their digital transformation goals, including ease of migration and maximizing security.
Bunús is the foundation on which our customers and partners can build effective solutions and services for their clients. We wrap a services first approach to controls and security around our managed services.
Let Aireagóir do the work so that your business can optimize. Using the world’s most advanced encryption, powered by Tèarainte, we offer customers the possibility of total data access control while providing data at rest and data in transit protection.
