AEM serves multiple industries with manufacturing resources on a global scale.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is the North American-based international trade group providing innovative business development resources to advance the off-road equipment manufacturing industry in the global marketplace. The group features more than 950 companies that produce and market equipment, products, and services used worldwide in the agriculture, construction, forestry, mining, and utility sectors.

These companies manufacture a wide variety of equipment, from large earthmovers and agricultural equipment to smaller hand-held, portable, and walk-behind machinery designed to handle a myriad of specialized tasks. Simply put, AEM members make the machines that provide the productivity to feed, build, and power the world.

For more than a century, AEM has provided a manufacturer forum for industry-wide action that transcends individual member company size, product line, and individual business concerns. Companies participating in AEM work together for the betterment of the industry and public needs, at the state, national, provincial, and international levels.

Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, AEM also has branch offices in the world capitals of Washington, DC, United States, Ottawa, Canada, and Beijing, China. The group’s services include public policy representation, market information and equipment statistics, product safety and technical support, and trade shows, as well as global business development services, education and training programs, worksite safety/educational materials, and workforce development activities.

AEM started from a unique vantage point—its industry segments came together to create a fundamentally more powerful voice and advocate for the off-road equipment manufacturing industry. With this stronger industry voice, AEM could more effectively represent the equipment manufacturing industry, provide improved services for all members, and create cost efficiencies with better use of resources.

AEM’s role as a trade show owner and producer provides high-quality manufacturer-run events that offer optimum return on investment for exhibitors and attendees, with show revenues going to support the industry. Shows include CONEXPO-CON/AGG (construction/construction materials), IFPE (The International Fluid Power Exposition), World of Asphalt and ICUEE-The Demo Expo (utility/construction), among others. CONEXPO-CON/AGG

CONEXPO-CON/AGG is known as the international gathering place every three years for the construction industries, with a focus on construction, aggregates, and ready mixed concrete. The event features exhibits of the latest technologies and innovations in equipment, products and services plus extensive industry-targeted education.

The next CONEXPO-CON/AGG is set for Tuesday, March 10 through Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, featuring seminars emphasizing industry issues and trends, management, and applied technology.

IFPE

The International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE) returns every three years to showcase the latest innovations and expertise in the fluid power, power transmission, and motion control industries, with IFPE 2020 coming to the Las Vegas Convention Center, March 10-14, 2020.

IFPE features targeted education events that provide crucial information to engineers and others involved in the design and manufacturing process.

World of Asphalt & AGG1 Aggregates Academy and Expo

Over 450 of the industry's leading manufacturers and service providers in the aggregate, asphalt, pavement maintenance, and traffic safety industry sectors come together to showcase their latest products and technologies.

ICUEE

The International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), also known as The Demo Expo, is the premier event for utility professionals and construction contractors to gain comprehensive insight into the latest technologies, innovations, and trends affecting their industry.

ICUEE features hands-on demonstrations of a broad range of construction and utility equipment, an education program inspired by the industry’s hottest topics and led by industry professionals, and more. The next ICUEE is set for Tuesday, October 1 - Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

CONEXPO Latin America

CONEXPO Latin America targets industry professionals involved in all segments of the construction industry and features the latest equipment, products and technologies for the Latin America marketplace to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance safety and sustainability.

CONEXPO Latin America is returning to Santiago, Chile and will be held October 2-5, 2019. Starting with 2019, CONEXPO Latin America moves to a three-year show cycle.

Commodity Classic an AEM Collaboration

Commodity Classic is America's top agricultural convention and trade show, managed by farmers, for farmers. The trade show connects cutting-edge agribusiness decision-makers with high-caliber, innovative, professional farmer leaders seeking the latest innovations in agriculture.

In 2018, AEM and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) presented the inaugural Davidson Prize to the top three innovative products, selected from the AE50 honorees on Tuesday at Commodity Classic in Anaheim, California.

AEM and Messe Munich International (organizer of bauma) have formed a strategic cooperative effort to organize the leading international construction machinery exhibition in India. Bauma CONEXPO INDIA gives you a comprehensive look at India’s construction machinery industry and new impetus for your business success. Bauma CONEXPO India returns to Gurgaon / Delhi December 11-14, 2018.

BAUMA CONEXPO AFRICA

The premier trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, and construction vehicles in Africa has firmly established itself in the market following its third edition. Bauma CONEXPO Africa will return to Johannesburg in 2021.

Thinking Forward Thought Leadership

Beginning in 2017, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) held eight Thinking Forward Events. Each event had a focus on a Thought Leadership theme with an expert speaker discussing a different topic. There were also breakout sessions, market updates, facility tours, multiple networking opportunities plus an AEM services overview with breakout discussion tables.

In 2018, the series continues with seven events that will include tours of some of the country’s top innovation centers, including 3M’s Innovation Center in Minneapolis, and Autodesk’s Gallery and Pier 9 Workshop in San Francisco.
